The Community First Development Coalition seeks a Board Trustee and Chair of the Fundraising Committee. This is a mission-critical role overseeing the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy that meets the financial goals of the organization, while supporting our mission to advance thoughtful real estate development in New York City. You’ll be joining an accomplished, energetic Board committed to building impactful solutions for the benefit of the community. This is an unpaid position with significant leadership exposure and community impact potential in a new and growing non-profit organization. Preference is for a seasoned development professional with senior-level experience building a fundraising function from scratch. Responsibilities:

–       Identifying, managing and stewarding relationships with all external sources of support, including corporations and major donors
–       Developing an annual fundraising plan and “case for support” positioning
–       Conceiving and organizing fundraising events
–       Ensuring ethical practices and cost effectiveness in fundraising efforts
–       Tracking/reporting on progress and maintaining a donor database
–       Collaborating with all board committees (Strategy, Advocacy, Marketing & Communications) to maximize fundraising opportunities
